I'm no gear head or even that advance in my knowledge of photographic technique and technical procedures, but sometimes around this lab I get so pissed off at the fact that SO many people get through this program almost getting everything accomplished by accident. Last weekend instead of a safari I elected to do a more formalized shoot in studio with Jessica. Lee and I both used our dSLRs, but the mission was to shoot slides of Ms. Jessica for her to make into polaroid for a project. I really like being busy, and even more so when I'm getting paid for it. My job has a significant amout of down time...well maybe it shouldn't but no one says anything so it happens. So today is Tuesday, but according to Mason it's monday. This means that all monday classes are today. This is where I get into my complaint. We have 3 adjunct professors in the Photo dept., and two of them work at other colleges. Those colleges aren't as moronic as mason so they don't switch their days around or no good reason. So all the major prep work (AKA: cleaning and scrubbing) is done for th lab this fall...at least untill the real work starts, and then I'll be cleaning a lot more.
